Prediction League Update and Match Preview - Final game - Kitchee vs Yuen Long (H)

Whilst Kitchee may have wrapped up the league title several weeks ago, one major Hong Kong title is still up for grabs... the Angry Boundary Street prediction league title.  Recreating the drama of last year's Hong Kong Premier League climax, the prediction league comes down to the final day of the season and the prediction for the Bluewaves v The Tangerines could be vital to see who is crowned inaugural ABS Champion - and claims the mystery prize!

The game against Southern in Aberdeen, which has traditionally been a bogey match for the Kitchee boys, was easier than expected and meant that no one was able to correctly predict the first scorer or scoreline. This saw a number of less optimistic ABS readers drop out of the race for the title with realistically, baring any major surprises,  only Billy Chan, Liu Kam To and ABS themselves able to claim the gong!

At the other end of the table, the family battle between Nash and Amanda Tang continues as both seek to avoid picking up the wooden spoon.

Although chairman Wilson Wong has confirmed that they are in negotiations with a potential sponsor to help them continue in the HKPL, this weekend could be the Tangerines' final game in the Hong Kong Premier League for the foreseeable future.  Last week, during a highly emotionally charged game, YL threw away a 3-1 lead to end up drawing with second place Pegasus.

Nevertheless, last time they played at Mong Kok stadium in the Senior Shield, Yuen Long managed a 3-1 victory and players such as Everton Camargo and Fabio will want to finish on a high in what will their their final appearance for the district team ahead of summer transfers.

Whilst Kitchee may have nothing to play for in the league, they do have the potential of going all season undefeated (again) and would like to keep up their good form ahead of both the Sapling Cup and FA Cup Finals which follow in the next couple of weeks.  However, with uncertainty surrounding the future of a number of Kitchee players (Alex, Sandro, Fernando, Vadocz, Lam Zhi Gin), next season's Bluewaves could look very different to this year and so there may also be a desire to finish off in the best possible style, undefeated in the league with a cup double under their belts.

What are your predictions for the game?
