How to get to Mong Kok Stadium

How to get to Mong Kok Stadium

  1. The key thing to remember is that the best MTR station for Mong Kok stadium is actually Prince Edward station - not Mong Kok! I made this mistake the first time I went to a Kitchee home game and then thought I would walk from Mong Kok to the stadium - its not a horrendous walk but, having only just got to Hong Kong at that point, I got a little lost and it took me around 35 minutes.  Whereas the walk from Prince Edward is only 5 minutes at most.
  2. Prince Edward station is on the Tseun Wan line (RED LINE), between Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po and is about 10 minutes from Central Station.
  3. At Price Edward station, I always take EXIT A - which is specifically labelled as Mong Kok Stadium.
  4. Come out of Exit A and turn back on your self, away from Portland Street (the busy main road in front of you) and you will find yourself on Playing Field Road.
  5. Walk down Playing Field Road all the way to the end - its not far, a matter of minutes at most - and you will come to Sai Yee Street.  As you walk down the road, you will cross Tung Choi Street and Fa Yuen street. Both of which have an excellent amount of bars and restaurants if you fancy a pint or bite to eat before the game. Be aware though, if it is an early kick off (2.30pm) then your choices might be restricted - in these situations, we usually plump for Future Bar.
  6. Once you get to Sai Yee Street, turn right. You will see the beginnings of the Flower Market here, with lots of shops selling Bon Sai, Orchids and other beautiful plants.
  7. Walk along Sai Yee Street and the first left turn you will come to is Flower Market Road - this is easily marked by the big Brighten flower shop at the top of the street.
  8. Turn down Flower Market Road and walk for a couple of minutes and the gates for the stadium are there on your left hand side. Easy as that!

From Mong Kok East Station
  1. Mong Kok East is on the East Rail Line between Hung Hom and Kowloon Tong. It is approximately only a 5 minute walk to the stadium.
  2. When you get to the concourse of the station follow the signs to Exit D which will lead you into the shopping mall area
  3. When you enter the mall turn right and walk straight for about 70 metres to the end where you will come to a set of escalators.
  4. At the escalators turn left past the cafe and out the doors into the drop off area of the shopping centre.
  5. You then go right and will come to a very long escalator, go down the escalator and onto Prince Edward Road.
  6. Turn left and walk until you get to the first set of traffic lights, cross the road and Mong Kok Stadium will be directly in front of you
