Prediction League

For each Kitchee match we will be running a small prediction competition, to see who is able to to guess the score correctly.

This costs nothing to enter but there will be an Angry Boundary Street prize (yet to be determined - as they are yet to be invented) for whoever finishes top of the prediction league at the end of the season.

Points will be awarded as follows:
Correct Result (i.e. Kitchee win): 1 Point
Correct Score (i.e 2:1): 3 Points
Correct First Kitchee Goalscorer: 2 Points.

The league at the moment is as follows:

Prediction League - Week 2 - Results - Kitchee v Pegasus

In Sunday evening's Hong Kong Premier League fixture, Kitchee made short work of new boys Dreams FC, defeating them 7-0.  Despite missing numerous chances early on, Kitchee took the lead after 30 minutes with new boy Lucas Silva slotting home with the outside of his right boot after a Vadocz ball was headed down by Sandro.

The Brazilian goal machine went on to notch a further 3 goals with Jared Lum and Sandro also adding their name to the scoresheet. However, the biggest cheer of the night was reserved for when, local hero, Lo Kwan Yee wrapped up the scoring after 88 minutes after excellent work by Lucas.

In terms of the prediction league, the entire contingent correctly predicted a Kitchee victory but no one thought it would be such a run-a-way - with the most generous scoreline predicted being 4-0.

Keith managed to move to the top of the league after correctly predicting that Lucas would be the first Kitchee scorer.

Prediction League - Week 1 - Results

As we all know by now, Friday's opening match versus Eastern finished 1-0 with a solitary goal from Vadocz in the 70th Minute.  But, how many of you managed to predict the right score?

As you can see, everyone correctly predicted that Kitchee would win. However, most thought that it would be a much more resounding victory with the majority of readers predicting at least a 2 goal goal margin.
Only one reader, Bill Chan, got the score correct.

In terms of first goal scorer. Most thought that Lucas would get off to a flying start and this probably should have been the case with the boy from Brazil missing a number of golden plated chances in the game. As it was, it was midfield powerhouse Krisztian Vadocz that broke the deadlock. Vadocz played a one-two with Alex, whose return pass was hit perhaps a little too hard into the chest of the Hungarian but the broke luckily into his path, leaving the fan's favourite to slip the ball past the oncoming Yapp Hung Fai.

Its too soon to place too emphasis on the league table but... Billy Chan takes an early lead with Keith and Angry Boundary Street hot on his coat tails.
