Prediction League & Match Report - match 15 - Dreams FC 1 v Kitchee 4

Kitchee moved closer to back-to-back championships with a 4-1 away win against, league strugglers, Dreams FC.  The victory gives the Bluewaves an 8 point lead over Pegasus in 2nd place with just 3 games to play. With 1st and 2nd place facing off against each other in the next league game on April 13th it really is all up for grabs.

Despite their lowly position in the table, Kitchee didn't dare take the opposition for granted and came out of the blocks with all guns blazing. Looking to put the game to bed early on, Kitchee nearly took the lead after just 6 minutes but Jared Lum's attempt was well saved by Dreams FC keeper To Chun-kiu.
Kitchee didn't have to wait much long for the breakthrough when, with 9 minutes on the scoreboard, IceMan Kristian Vadocz lashed a shot in off the bar from outside the area. The Hungarian has been a real asset to Kitchee over the past two years and is clearly too good for the league. If rumours that he is to move on at the end of the season are then he will be sorely missed.
6 minutes later followed 4 minutes of end-to-end madness. First of all, after 15 minutes, Kitchee  doubled their advantage when Alessandro Leonardo headed home a Fernando cross from close range. This should have been game over but Kitchee's defensive frailties continued to haunt them as Dreams pulled one back within just 90 seconds as Yoon Dong Hun beat Wang Zhenpeng with a fine strike. However, hopes of a Dreams FC were quickly dashed as Kim Dong Jin headed home Jared Lum's free kick to restore the two goal advantage.
After half time, Kitchee continued to have chances to increase the lead but failed to capitalise. These missed opportunities included what must be the GAFF OF THE SEASON when Lucas Da Silva took the ball around the keeper but somehow managed to clear his own opportunity off the line. For many this summed up the season for Lucas. Despite scoring 15 goals this season, most of these have been against very poor teams at home (8 against Dreams, Rangers and R&F) and there is a feeling that he hasn't quite delivered what was expected following his big money transfer from Tai Po.
Kitchee finally made it 4-1 after 80th minute when Paulinho tapped in from close range after Lucas had his initial shot saved.
How does this affect the prediction league? Well, with just 3 games left Billy Chan still sits on top but his league has now been cut to just 1 point as Liu Kam To  and ABS close in. ABS's policy of betting on Vadocz to score first every week paid off again   and Liu managed to predict the correct scoreline. Correct Scorer predictions for Tim, Rebecca and Hui Feng also see them climb the table.  At the bottom, Nash is losing the Husband and Wife battle and will surely want to rectify that in the closing weeks!!!
