Prediction League Results - League game 5 - Kitchee v Lee Man

Kitchee swatted the buzzing bees in front of the Mong Kok Stadium Floodlights on Friday night, with a resounding 4-1 victory. The Bluewaves opened the scoring after just 7 minutes with Lam Zhi Gin getting on the scoresheet for the first time this season after  Lee Man goalkeeper, Felix Luk, punched a clearance straight to the feet of the ex-Hamburg midfielder.

This is how it stayed for the remainder of the first half until Kitchee doubled their lead in the 51st minute thanks to a beautiful long range shot from Sandro. Sandro completed a brace of goals just 6 minutes later after a bit of goal mouth scramble after the unfortunate Luk had saved well from Lucas at point blank range.  Alex wrapped up the scoring for Kitchee on 80 minutes volleying home for a few yards out after great work by Fernando inside the box.

With the game virtually over, Lee Man managed to grab a consolation through Dennis Lima who headed home after being left unmarked inside the box.

How does that result affect our Prediction League?

Well, ABS were seriously let down by that momentary defensive lapse which meant that our prediction of 4-0, which was looking good, ended up being incorrect.  For Wing, Kent and Jason though it was music to their ears as they had all predicted a 4-1 victory.  Patrick Chan was the only person to have correctly predicted that the much maligned Lam Zhi Gin would be the first name on the scoresheet.

ABS still sit top of the league but the gap is closing with Wing, Bill and Keith all close.
