Game 3 of the new season sees Kitchee take on Hong Kong Horse in their first away game of the season. The match, being played at the Hong Kong Stadium in Happy Valley, sees first take on second and will mean that the league's only remaining 100% records are under threat.
After finishing a safe 8th in the league last season, not much was predicted of Hong Kong Horse pre-season. However, they have made a great start to the campaign managing to chalk up 6 points out of 6 with fantastic victories against two more fancied opponents, Southern and R&F.
Macau international, Leong Ka Hang has made a great start to the season scoring 2 goals in victory against R&F He has formed a good partnership with Brazilian winger Joao Emir, who set up both goals against the Guangzhou team and together they will be something for Kitchee to fear. Kitchee fans will also be watching Li Ngai Hoi. The on-loan Kitchee youngster is very well thought of at the club and fans are hoping that we will be good enough to make the step up to the Bluewave's first team in the near future. Unfortunately, new signing, Serbian striker, Igor Nedeljkovic (who scored the winner against Southern from the spot) is likely to miss out after being withdrawn injured during the match versus R&F.
The match will be a real test of Pegasus's quality. Many think that they simply do not have the personnel to maintain an endured challenge for the title and suspect that they will soon fall away after their good start. Pegasus will keen to prove that this is not the case.
Kitchee have of course started the season with 2 victories. That probably isn't too surprising, given that they were most people's favourites to retain the title this year, but the manner of those victories has been extremely impressive. Kitchee have looked calm and confident in possession and have not been afraid to change their style and become more direct if needed - they have even started shooting from distance!
Despite their good start to the season, Kitchee should have too much for the Hong Kong Horse. Lucas has come of the blocks blazing, Vadocz has been as composed and controlling as expected and fan's favourite Fernando had a great return to action versus Dreams. As such, Angry Boundary Street is predicting a 3-0 victory for the Bluewaves. We predict that Vadocz will open the scoring once again.
What does the rest of our panel predict?
As you can see everyone is predicting a Kitchee victory, with most going for at least a 2 goal margin. Most are predicting that Jared Lum, who is enjoying his role as supporting striking, or Lucas will open the scoring!
Enjoy the match! Here's hoping for another 3 points for Kitchee!
